KAUSHIK VYAS

Chief Executive Officer

Kaushik Vyas is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Scheid Power Generation’s business, a purpose-built company focused on accelerating the energy transition and advancing sustainability. Under Kaushik’s leadership, SPG is working alongside customers to electrify and decarbonize the electric power sector while delivering reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity to North America.

Since joining SPG in 2022, Kaushik has held several leadership roles. He also serves as CEO of Nostrum Energy which develops technology solutions delivering advanced OEM quality Kinetic Direct Injectors for the High-Performance Market. Additionally, Kaushik serves as the Director of Nostrum Pharmaceuticals. From 1995 to 2012, Kaushik served as VP of SAIC. From 1980 to 1995, as the VP of URS’ EG&G Division which focused on energy, environment, health, safety and oceanographic services to federal and commercial customers.

Additionally, Kaushik has had an instrumental role in testing many new technologies for private and governmental entities. Kaushik has over 33 years experience in managing the entire energy and transportation life cycle – from finding energy underground or from renewable sources; to converting it to electrons or fuels; to effectively distributing it via the grid or pipelines; to efficiently using it in vehicles, factories, or homes.

Kaushik Vyas completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.

Kaushik has applied this experience in developing energy policy and programs for both developed and developing countries.

PAUL CODLING

Chief Financial / Negotiations Officer

Paul Codling is the chief financial officer (CFO) of Scheid Power Generation. In this role, he oversees all aspects of finance and digital technology and has the strategic relationship role in negotiating SPG’s Data Center Power Purchase contracts and offers a wealth of finance solutions for new builds and expansion projects.

Paul has 25 years of executive sales, operations, consulting, and various finance disciplines, including creative, structured, and private equity finance programs. Additionally, Paul serves as the Managing Director at Codling Capital Group, a project finance and consulting firm based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Paul’s expertise has facilitated the negotiation of project finance contracts worth billions of dollars across numerous industries such as AI / IT Software, Education, Real Estate, Legal, Architectural, Engineering & Construction (AEC), ConTech, FinTech, Distributions/Supply Chains, Logistics, Energy, Steel Building, Industrial Equipment and BPM sectors.

Paul is a proud former U.S. Navy veteran who served on the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Enterprise (CVN-65). After his military career, he pursued his academic journey at Old Dominion University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business/Sport Management and Economics.

MARK O’BRIEN

Project Manager

Mark brings over two decades of expertise in manufacturing and distribution management, with extensive experience in sales, marketing, operations, and engineering.

Throughout his career, Mark has successfully led turnaround management engagements, working closely with family business owners to define vision and strategic direction. His efforts have focused on developing and implementing comprehensive business and transition plans that align with owner goals.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.

Robert Turner

Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

Robert has over 25 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, providing consulting and project management services to Government agencies and SMB’s. Robert has managed hundreds of IT projects in public, private and hybrid clouds, with extensive experience in high performance networks, HPC, AI, Virtualization and IT Infrastructure.

Robert handles the SPG marketing and communications systems, web development, and information technology.

Robert earned his Associates in Business, then became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in 2002. Robert was an early innovator in cloud computing with a Citrix Xenserver Certification in 2007.
